Warranty Policy

Battery and electronic Warranty:

Coverage:

  1. Hardware Products and Accessories
Covered: The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for one year (or lifetime) from the original retail purchase date.

Lifetime Definition: To avoid confusion, “lifetime” refers to the expected usable life of the product, not the lifespan of the original purchaser. For example, this might mean the product will be covered for the typical duration of use under normal conditions.

Clarify this definition to ensure customers understand what is meant by “lifetime.”

Exclusions (Not Covered):

  • Consumable Ports (Batteries or Protective Coatings)
Not Covered: This warranty does not cover consumable items like batteries or protective coatings that are designed to wear out over time, unless the failure occurs due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

Battery Failure Due to Defect: To reduce confusion, please clarify what constitutes “failure due to a defect”. For example, if a battery fails to hold a charge far earlier than expected under normal use, this could be considered a defect. However, if a battery’s lifespan is naturally depleted due to heavy usage, that would not fall under the warranty.

Consider adding an example or an explanation of how users can differentiate between natural degradation and a defect.

  • Cosmetic Damage (Scratches, Dents, Broken Plastic)
Not Covered: This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, such as scratches, dents, or broken plastic that do not affect the product’s functionality.

Clarification: Examples of cosmetic damage that will not be covered should be included. For instance, minor scratches on the surface or scuffs may not be covered, but cracks or significant damage affecting the product’s performance (e.g., a broken port or cracked screen) would likely be covered under warranty.

This helps manage expectations regarding the level of damage that is acceptable under the warranty.

  • Damage from Third-Party Components
Not Covered: The warranty does not cover damage caused by the use of third-party components or accessories that do not meet the product’s specifications.

Clarification: Consider specifying the types of third-party components that might void the warranty, such as incompatible chargers, non-approved replacement parts, or accessories. Providing a list of approved accessories could help customers avoid voiding the warranty by using unauthorized products.

  • Damage from Accidents, Abuse, Misuse, Fire, or External Causes
Not Covered: The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, fire, or other external causes

Clarification: Consider providing more details about what constitutes misuse to avoid misunderstandings. For instance, water damagephysical abuse (e.g., dropping the device), or using the product outside of the recommended conditions (e.g., exposing it to extreme temperatures) could be clarified here as exclusions.

This will help ensure customers are aware of how to use their devices properly to avoid voiding the warranty.

  • Modification to Alter Functionality or Capability
Not Covered: This warranty does not cover any product that has been modified to alter its functionality or capability

Clarification: Specify if software modifications (e.g., rooting a device or installing unauthorized software) also void the warranty, or if this only applies to hardware modifications (e.g., opening the device or replacing internal parts).

This will help prevent confusion about whether software changes like custom ROMs or jailbreaks would void the warranty.

  • Normal Wear and Tear
Not Covered: The warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear

Clarification: Define what constitutes “normal wear and tear” in the context of electronic products. For example:

  • Battery degradation over time (e.g., a decrease in battery life) could fall under normal wear and tear.
  • Screen wear, like light scratching or loss of clarity, could be considered normal wear.
  • Gradual loss of battery life over time, after extended use, may be considered a normal part of the product’s lifespan.

Offering clear examples of what is and isn’t covered under normal wear and tears will help customers understand expectations regarding product longevity.

Grinders and Dugout Warranty

(must provide proof of purchase and video and pictures)

Coverage:

  1. Product and Accessories
Covered: This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for one year (or lifetime, depending on the product) from the original retail purchase date

Lifetime Definition: To avoid confusion, “lifetime” refers to the product’s expected usable life under normal conditions, not the lifespan of the original purchaser. This is the period during which the product should perform as intended before wear and tear naturally occurs. Please specify the expected lifespan of the product where applicable.

Exclusions (Not Covered):

  • Consumable Parts (Protective Coatings)
Not Covered: This warranty does not apply to consumable parts like protective coatings, which are designed to degrade over time. However, if the protective coating fails unexpectedly or wears out prematurely due to a defect in materials or workmanship, it will be covered.

Clarity: If the coating starts peeling or fading prematurely (e.g., within months of use), this may be considered a defect.

  • Cosmetic Damage (Scratches, Dents, Broken Ports)
Not Covered: This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, such as scratchesdents, or broken ports, unless the damage affects product functionality

Clarification: A small scratch on the grinder’s surface that doesn’t affect its function is not covered. However, if the damage is severe enough to hinder the use of the product (e.g., broken parts affecting functionality), it would be covered.

Examples: Scratches are cosmetic, but if the grinder’s teeth are damaged or the functionality of the dugout is compromised, this will be covered.

  • Damage from Third-Party Components
Not Covered: This warranty does not cover damage caused by the use of third-party components or products that are not in line with the brand’s specifications.

Clarification: For clarity, you might list specific components or products (e.g., incompatible replacement partsnon-approved accessories) that should not be used with the grinder or dugout.

Example: Using a charger or accessory that is not designed for the product could avoid the warranty.

  • Damage from Accidents, Abuse, Misuse, Fire, or External Causes
Not Covered: This warranty does not cover damage caused by accidentabusemisusefire, or any other external causes

Clarification: It may help to provide examples of what qualifies as misuse or abuse. For instance:

  • Dropping the grinder or dugout.
  • Exposing the product to extreme heat or water.
  • Using excessive force on the parts.

These are examples of misuse that would avoid the warranty.

  • Modification to Alter Functionality or Capability
Not Covered: This warranty does not cover any product that has been modified to alter its functionality or capability

Clarification: Any hardware modifications (e.g., changing the grinder’s parts or attempting self-repair) will void the warranty.

Examples: Replacing original parts with unauthorized parts, or attempting to repair the grinder yourself, would void the warranty.

  • Normal Wear and Tear
Not Covered: This warranty does not cover damage due to normal wear and tear

Clarification: To help prevent confusion, examples of normal wear and tears might include:

  • The teeth of the grinder are becoming less sharp over time.
  • Mild scratching or slight scuffing on the surface that does not affect functionality.
  • Gradual fading of color or markings.

Covered: If the grinder cracks or stops working unexpectedly, this would likely be considered a defect and covered under warranty.
